Here we reveal what they are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-7db1de4b\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">\u00d1ucchu<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The red flowers that cover the image and that the faithful throw from their balconies are called <strong>\u00d1ucchu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">During the Inca period, this flower was considered sacred and used as an offering to gods such as <a href=\"https:\/\/wiratrips.com\/en\/inti-el-dios-sol\/\" target=\"_self\">Inti, the Sun God<\/a>. Following the arrival of Catholicism, its deep red colour came to symbolise the blood of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-8114b7c8\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">His crown and shroud<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The crown that she wears during the procession is made of 18-carat gold and is adorned with precious stones. It is heavy. However, various versions have been made over the centuries (some gold-plated silver) to preserve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also has an impressive collection of silk and velvet shrouds, which are embroidered with gold thread.
